Alvin Wong, MPH is an operational leader and healthcare manager dedicated to healthcare quality, organizational effectiveness, and community health. Alvin earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Riverside in 2012. Beginning his career at Cedars-Sinai in 2019 as a Patient Service Representative, he advanced to Project Coordinator one year later. Following his graduation in 2025, Alvin was promoted to Project Manager at Cedars-Sinai, leading key administrative and operational initiatives.

During his time in the EMPH program, Alvin applied his health policy and management expertise across both organizational and community harm-reduction projects. Alvin and teammate Alan Rozet (Team OD Zero) won the prestigious 2025 EMPH Sinaiko Business Plan Competition. Mentored by EMPH alumnae Natalie Yragui (’20) and Aneliese Castro (’20), Team OD Zero developed an innovative model to deploy smart vending machines offering free, 24/7 overdose reversal kits in hotels and motels, creating a scalable, community-focused harm reduction initiative to prevent overdose fatalities.

For his summer consulting project, Alvin teamed up with classmate Eunice Ninet, RN to design and present a comprehensive organizational strategy for improving employee well-being at Cedars-Sinai.

Alvin distinguishes himself through his commitment to public health. In 2025, he was inducted into the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health in recognition of his dedication to advancing health quality and serving diverse populations.
