Alan Rozet is an experienced technologist and private equity leader specializing in digital operations, technology strategy, and data platforms across healthcare, financial services, and e-commerce. Prior to earning his MPH from UCLA, Alan built an extensive background developing machine-learning SaaS products, algorithmic risk management systems, and technology diligence for startups, Fortune 500s, and private equity portfolio companies. While a student in the EMPH program, Alan was promoted from Senior Operating Associate to Operating Principal at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice.

For his summer consulting project, which takes place between the first and second year of the EMPH program, Alan partnered with classmate Vanessa Villafuerte to work alongside agilon health, a pioneer in value-based care and physician enablement, to create a standardized evaluation framework for senior care management programs.

“The project was to support agilon health in creating a standard framework for evaluating care management programs to quantify the level of financial and clinical impact for seniors with higher needs,” he said. “Both Vanessa and I wanted to work on a project that could meaningfully impact complex patient care, and we were lucky to find one that was such a close fit to our Evaluation coursework with Dr. Yano and Dr. Miake-Lye. We deeply appreciated the support from the agilon team from day one.”

During his time at UCLA, Alan distinguished himself through academic excellence, leadership, and public health innovation. He was awarded the 2025 Levin-Gordon Executive MPH Scholarship in recognition of his exceptional performance during his first year and was inducted into the Upsilon Phi Delta National Honor Society in Healthcare Management. In May 2025, Alan and teammate Alvin Wong (Team OD Zero) won the prestigious EMPH Sinaiko Business Plan Competition. Mentored by EMPH alumnae Natalie Yragui (’20) and Aneliese Castro (’20), OD Zero designed smart vending machines to distribute free, 24/7 overdose reversal kits in hotels and motels, creating a scalable, community-focused harm reduction model to prevent overdose fatalities.

Alan holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Evolutionary Biology with a minor in Mind/Brain/Behavior from Harvard University, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Columbia University, and earned his Executive MPH in Health Policy and Management in 2025.
