HPM 232: Principles of Organization Leadership

Jennifer Heenan is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Los Angeles office and a member of the firm’s Healthcare Practice. With 20 years of healthcare consulting, strategic planning, business development and marketing experience, Jennifer works with healthcare institutions across the continuum including healthcare systems, academic health sciences universities, physician organizations, payers and healthcare associations to identify and successfully recruit executive leaders. She is a recipient of the firm’s prestigious Lou Rieger Quality Award for high quality work on behalf of her clients.

Jennifer has worked with a range of healthcare services organizations to recruit C-level executives. She partners with healthcare systems and other provider organizations to recruit chief executive officers, chief operating officers, chief medical officers, chief financial officers and other senior executives, as well as deans, department chairs and division chiefs at major schools of medicine.Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Jennifer spent 10 years with AMC Strategies, a Los Angeles-based consulting firm specializing in strategic planning for some of the most prestigious academic medical centers and schools of medicine nationwide. In this capacity, she led numerous engagements for the firm’s consulting practice, where she partnered with and advised boards, executive leadership teams and faculty. Earlier in her career, Jennifer managed business development and marketing for Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, California, and conducted strategic planning for Cedars-Sinai Health System in Los Angeles.

Jennifer is a graduate of the UCLA Jonathan and Karin Fielding School of Public Health, where she earned a Master of Public Health degree from the Department of Health Policy and Management. She also holds a B.A. in urban studies and planning from the University of California, San Diego.
