Dr. Monique Araya is a highly accomplished healthcare executive and a Board Certified pediatrician with 25 years of experience dedicated to advancing patient care quality, safety, and operational excellence. She served as the past Chief of Staff and is a current Executive Board Member at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. In these executive roles, she has worked at the intersection of clinical leadership, governance, and strategic decision-making, ensuring that institutional policies and initiatives align with high standards of care. Her expertise spans medical staff governance, value-based care, and physician alignment strategies. She has played a key role in shaping physician reimbursement structures, utilization goals, and quality metrics, balancing financial sustainability with patient-centered care. Dr. Araya has also led crucial efforts supporting physician engagement, well-being, diversity, and inclusion within the medical community.

 

A dedicated clinician, she studied at UC Davis and at St. George’s University and completed her pediatric training at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio. She has been in private practice since 2001, joining The Pediatric Group of Beverly Hills in 2007. Dr. Araya has a special interest in preventative care and in advocating for children and families.

 

Dr. Araya is currently pursuing the Executive Master of Public Health degree at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, further solidifying her commitment to engaging with forward-thinking leaders who are shaping the future of healthcare.
