Miguel Ramirez, MPH is a healthcare leader specializing in financial management and policy integration. Possessing extensive experience in hospital administration and public health sectors, Miguel’s expertise lies in budget oversight, quality reporting, and strategic operations. He focuses on integrating advanced financial modeling and health policy into executive-level decision-making to build sustainable public health infrastructures.

Miguel joined the EMPH program with a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Language and Literature from UCLA, which informs his ability to engage diverse populations, particularly in his area of interest: healthcare reform and health equity. 

Based on overall achievement, concern for others, humor, and a desire to reach their highest potential in life while bringing out the best in others, Miguel was chosen by his EMPH cohort to be the recipient of the Ann G. Quealy Memorial Fellowship Endowment Award in 2026.
