With a focus on addressing health disparities and advocating for marginalized populations, Emily’s work combines a strong analytical foundation with practical policy applications. Notably, Emily and her EMPH teammates (Team SafeBite Technologies) won the prestigious EMPH Sinaiko Business Plan Competition in 2026, in her second year of the program. Dedicated to designing and implementing programs that improve public health outcomes at the community and regional levels, Emily was inducted into the Upsilon Phi Delta Honor Society, a United States honor society for college students and individuals in the field of healthcare administration, in 2026.

“I joined the EMPH program to gain the skills needed to become an effective leader,” she said. “Training in policy, management, and public health are all essential for working on interdisciplinary medical teams, and I want to use the foundation I build with my EMPH to strengthen laboratory operations and support infection prevention. My career goal is to become a leader representing the clinical laboratory and continue advancing high-quality patient care at UCLA Health System and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.”
