Devon Anderson
Devon Anderson brings a strong foundation in public health combined with four years of rigorous experience in military administration to the Executive MPH program and is expected to graduate in 2027. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Kent State University in 2021.
Devon’s professional expertise was forged during his service in the United States Marine Corps as an Administrative Specialist. In this role, he gained high-level proficiency in administrative and financial operations, as well as military administration and personnel management—skills critical for managing complex healthcare systems.
He is focused on bridging his operational background with advanced public health knowledge. His areas of interest include health policy and management, social and behavioral sciences, and maternal and child health. Devon is committed to leveraging his discipline, organizational skills, and foundational knowledge to drive strategic and equitable improvements in health service delivery.
How do you spend your free time?
“I spend the majority of my time with my son exploring California, and spending time with family.”
Why did you join the EMPH program?
“I want to help individuals and communities that suffer from adverse social determinants of health to prevent and improve health outcomes.”
