The U.S. Healthcare System and the Law

The U.S. healthcare system is defined and managed by myriad regulations, policies, litigation and contracts. However, the context of medical services delivery organization and financing is often not well understood by professionals in adjacent industries.

The goal of this intensive program is to facilitate law professionals' development of knowledge and context for practicing health and medical practice law. Topics include: health system organization & financing; medical terminology; regulation, contracts & litigation in the U.S. health system; familiarity with policies & changes in health services delivery reform.

The series is optimally attended by participants practicing law, supporting law offices, or enrolled in law school. Discussion of healthcare regulation, contracts, and litigation will assume an understanding of general law terms.
