Brejett Egland

Healthcare Operations, Quality Improvement, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management Specialist

Brejett Egland is an experienced healthcare leader with over a decade of hands-on expertise spanning healthcare operations, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, risk management, and patient care coordination. Most recently serving as a Compliance Manager across healthcare service lines, Brejett specialized in partnering with leadership to conduct audits, identify performance gaps, implement corrective actions, and train clinical and administrative staff on patient safety and regulatory standards.

“My earlier career experiences working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), as well as in medical office operations and case management, gave me firsthand experience with the challenges patients and families encounter when navigating complex healthcare and social service systems,” she said. “These experiences shaped my understanding that improving healthcare requires more than addressing individual patient needs—it requires strong systems, accountable leadership, effective policies, and organizations that continuously evaluate whether they are truly serving their communities.”

Born and raised in Compton, California, Brejett is a proud first-generation college graduate. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Management from the University of Phoenix and an Associate of Science in Natural Science from Los Angeles Southwest College.

By combining her extensive operational and compliance background with the skills and knowledge she will gain in strategic leadership, applied consulting, and innovative business in the UCLA Executive MPH program, Brejett aims to advance into senior executive roles where she can influence health policy, optimize healthcare quality, and build safer, more equitable care systems.
