D’Artagnan DeBow, MD, MBA is a highly accomplished physician and clinical development leader who expertly blends medicine, business strategy, and public health systems thinking. Board-certified in Surgery and Critical Care, D’Artagnan holds an MD from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University (2012) and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management (2024), complemented by a Certified Physician Executive (CPE) designation.

 

Currently, Dr. DeBow is channeling his expertise into biotech as the Senior Director of Clinical Development – Oncology at Crinetics Pharmaceuticals. In this role, he leads Phase 1/2 dose escalation and biomarker-driven clinical trial strategies, moving oncology assets from IND through proof-of-concept by integrating regulatory and translational functions.

 

His career demonstrates exceptional cross-sector leadership, spanning intensive care units at institutions like CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, federal healthcare as a Tele-Critical Care Physician for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and biotech leadership. As a former Medical Director at Amgen, he orchestrated global medical affairs strategies for their solid tumor pipeline and devised impactful external stakeholder engagement plans.

 

Dr. DeBow is passionate about connecting pharmaceutical R&D with healthcare delivery to create sustainable and equitable care models, a focus he brings to the Executive MPH program to drive high-impact innovations across the health system.
