Kisa Hilliard

Center Project Coordinator, UCLA Health

Kisa A. Hilliard is an accomplished research coordinator with over a decade of experience dedicated to improving healthcare for vulnerable populations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from UC Riverside (2012).

Kisa has built extensive expertise in geriatrics, long-term care, and health services research through her dual role at two major institutions. At the UCLA Borun Center, she leads an interprofessional research operations team managing multi-site projects, while also serving as a research statistician with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Her coordination portfolio spans project operations, stakeholder engagement, national meeting organization, data collection and analysis, publication contribution, training, and budget management.

Her combined experience reflects mastery in both operational leadership and rigorous data analysis, specializing in research that impacts patient care. The recent pandemic reinforced her commitment to serving vulnerable populations and reignited her interest in health policy. She is now pursuing the Executive MPH to deepen her expertise in population health, policy and management, and epidemiology, with the long-term goal of driving systemic improvements at the intersection of public service and health systems reform.

Outside of work, Kisa enjoys spending time with her family, hosting gatherings that bring loved ones together, reading fiction, attending live sporting events, and singing karaoke.
