“I joined the EMPH program to deepen my understanding of the intersection between law and public health. My legal work focusing on clients facing housing insecurity, discrimination, and unsafe working conditions showed me how legal systems impact health outcomes. This experience shifted my focus from law as a conflict resolution tool to a means of addressing structural inequities that affect wellbeing. Pursuing an MPH at UCLA allowed me to develop the strategic and leadership skills needed to drive systemic change.”
