Course: Statistics for Health Management Decision-Making

Asya Jones, MS, is a policy researcher and experiential learning architect focused on strengthening data leadership across workforce systems. She is currently completing her PhD in Policy Analysis at the Pardee RAND Graduate School. Her dissertation examines how Black women convert prior educational and professional capital into data-aligned competencies through adaptive credential stacking, illuminating how professionals build durable career mobility in evolving technical fields.

As the founder of Rose Data Studio, Asya advises universities and organizations on designing applied data programs that move professionals from skill acquisition to governance-level decision-making. Her work centers on translating statistical thinking into practical judgment, collaboration, and systems awareness.

During her graduate studies, she was part of a team recognized with a RAND Silver Medal Award for organizing a policy hackathon that introduced Atlanta University Center students to applied policy analysis in support of an equitable COVID-19 recovery.

Previously, Asya developed and led an internship program for MPH students focused on healthcare quality measurement research, supporting six cross-functional projects and expanding access to applied research opportunities for emerging public health leaders.

She holds an MS in Biostatistics from UCLA and a BS in Mathematics from Spelman College.
